How much coffee do you drink? Writers and nonwriters alike can answer—I’m just curious.
I went on a writing retreat with Sara McClung and Cristin Terrill this weekend, and they seem to think I drink a lot! Which, I know I do . . . but I didn’t really drink that much in front of them, and so now I’m interested to know how much people generally drink.
How many cups a day? A week?
At least a cup a day. Sometimes two if I’m home and not working. I can’t function without coffee!
Not surprisingly, I’m the same as my wife here. One to two a day. It gets really bad for me if you include the amount of hot tea, too.
Hmm…I think I do include it — if it’s caffeinated?
Me neither!
I usually drink 2-4 cups a day. I wish I was drinking coffee with you right now!!!!
Me too, best friend!!!
Daily cups of coffee: 0
Daily cups of tea: Uh, do I really have to admit that?
Seriously, though, I’ve never been a coffee drinker, but I recently started drinking hot tea (British style, with milk and sugar). I usually drink a couple cups a day, although sometimes I’ll have as many as five. Especially if I’m writing or it’s really cold outside. There’s just something about having a hot cup of tea at hand while scribbling in a notebook.
I do too — I think that’s why I drink so much. But it’s so fun! Especially in the winter!
I don’t drink coffee; soda is my crutch for caffeine. But I think the only detrimental effect is short term memory loss and a tendency to repeat oneself.
What was the question?
Oh, I don’t drink coffee; soda is my crutch for caffeine.
🙂
I’m an all or nothing kind of girl when it comes to coffee. I can go weeks without having any, but then I make a 10 cup pot and drink it all.
Don’t look at me like that. 🙂 I really only drink decaf, except when I get the occasional fancy coffee when I’m out and about. Otherwise, a bit of sugar-free flavored syrup and some milk and I’m good.
I drink tea too, but usually only one cup at a time – I don’t guzzle it the way I do coffee. 🙂
I drink the majority of a pot by myself daily — and it’s usually *not* decaf, so no judgment here!
I don’t guzzle tea either — I wonder what’s wrong with us?
Anywhere between 2-4 cups a day. That’s not including caffeinated beverages such as diet with lunch and dinner.
It takes a lot to keep me going!
Me too, Gina!
I used to only drink green tea, and on special occasions, I’d get a latte. But since my son was born, my coffee intake has gone up quite a bit–for me that is. I drink a large cup a day. That may not sound like a lot, but it is for me. And the strength of the coffee keeps going up too. I figure by the times he’s in school, I’ll be up to 5 cups a day.
Amateur. 😉
I drink 2-3 a day. But at home I drink the Folgers 1/2 caffeine brand. It’s not the caffeine I’m addicted to, it’s the taste. :)Probably because I use flavored creamer and make it taste like dessert.
I usually mix (caff & decaf) after my first pot.
I’m admittedly addicted to both, but I think it’s the taste I enjoy overall.
Hey, fun time!
I drink coffee about once a month. Or less. I really only drink it when others are drinking it. I prefer Coke Zero…
I loves me some Coke Zero as well! We don’t usually buy pop (I know, I know–SODA, but I’m from Cleveland, for crying out loud!) unless we have guests.
0 cups a year!
Wow. What about pop?
2-3 cups a day, just to balance out the bourbon.
I heart you. 🙂
I generally drink 1 mocha every other week. No coffee, unless my connection brings me the good stuff from his parents coffee plantation, then all bets are off.
I do generally drink two cups of tea a day. I’m trying to cut back. 😉
That doesn’t sound too shabby. Good work, K-dogg!
